Fed employees hear about Meals on Wheels

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1191 held its monthly meeting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bella Italia Restaurant in Ennis on March 8. The guest speaker was Lisa Deese, Director of Development for Meals on Wheels of North Central Texas. The speaker is originally from DeSoto and had previously been Volunteer Coordinator for Dallas Life.

The world is soon coming down to a big decision, what price is it willing to pay to maintain a world of stable rules and practices. After the carnage of WWII, international organizations were created to prevent the carnage of another international conflict. We’ve had regional wars and genocidal conflicts, but not the big one.

One phrase in particular quickly entered the pop culture lexicon after it debuted in 1993. The phrase? Must See TV. If you were a teenager in the early ‘90s and remember trying to rush through your homework to watch that night’s Must-See TV lineup, it could be time for another “must” – a colonoscopy.
