A number of area performers are donating their time and talents to host a benefit concert for the Teague Volunteer Fire Department. The money will be used for the Department's "Robert Knight Memorial Statue Fund."
Chief Knight was tragically killed while fighting a fire in July of this year. The statue will be erected at the Teague Fire Station to honor and memorialize Chief Knight's service and sacrifice to the citizens of Teague and the surrounding area.
The concert will be held in the Teague Community Center on Thursday, December 4th from 7 - 10 p.m. Performers include Diamondback Texas, Bill May, Dan Woods, Dorothy McAdams, Shirley Jones, David McAdams, Gary McAdams, Clifford Dill, Stan Lawhorn, John Allred and more. There will be a variety of refreshments.
Admission is free, but all donations, both large and small, will be appreciated and accepted at the door.
Teague's Volunteer Fire department is one of the most important organizations in our area. These brave and unselfish citizens give their time, their energy, their talents, and, as we all learned not that long ago...sometimes their very lives.
Come and support the Teague Volunteer Fire Department. On December 4th.
