Completion

Limestone County

OBENCO completed No. 12 Rickard, a directional well, in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) formation 14.3 miles NW of Jewett. Rickard came in at 2,779 mcf on a 1.875-in. choke with a shut-in wellhead pressure of 4,500 PSI. Drilling was stopped at 13,203 feet with paying perforations between 11,396 – 11,638 feet.

XTO Energy finished No. 1 Spence “B”, a directional well, in the Oletha, SW (Cotton Valley Sand) formation 13.4 miles SE of Groesbeck. This well was drilled to a depth of 10,800 feet with perforations between 9,744 – 10,498 feet. Spence came in at 203 mcf on a 1.500-in. choke and an absolute open flow of 209 mcf.

Located 15.5 miles SE of Groesbeck is No. 21 W. O. Stone in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Limestone) formation. XTO Energy drilled this well to a depth of 14,055 feet with payload perforations between 11,362 – 13,836 feet. Stone came in at 707 mcf on a 1.25000-in. choke and an absolute open flow of 1,570 mcf.

Development

Freestone County

XTO Energy will spud three wells in the Farrar SE (Pettit) formation. All wells are recompletion wells.

No. 2 George Fulton will be located 2 miles SW of Donie on a 700.55-acre lease and will bottom out at 9,518 feet. This well will be in the A. J. Click A121 survey.

No. 8 Vestal will be in the BBB&C A110 survey and will be drilled to a depth of 13,170 feet. Vestal will be located 1.8 miles SW of Donie on a 700.16-acre lease.

No. 10 Vestal will be located 2.3 miles SW of Donie on a 700.16-acre lease and will bottom out at 13,128 feet. Vestal will be in the W. F. Ritchie A756 survey.

XTO Energy will spud No. 9 Reed “E”, a recompletion well, in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) formation 2.9 miles SW of Donie on a 639.56-acre lease. Reed will be in the I. Connelly A117 survey and will bottom out at 14,305 feet.

Apache Corp. will drill No. 7H Moody Est., a wildcat horizontal well, in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) formation. Moody will be located 2.3 miles SW of Fairfield on a 1,248.42-acre lease. This well will be in the R. Gainer A12 survey and will bottom out at 16,000 feet.

No. 11 J. Bonner will be in the D. McGraw A407 survey and will bottom out at 13,100 feet. Bonner will be located 5.5 miles SW of Fairfield on a 624.57-acre lease. Hunt Petroleum will spud this well in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) formation.

Leon County

Valence Operating will drill a directional well in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Limestone) formation 8.3 miles NW of Jewett on a 704-acre lease. No. 7 Black will be in the M. C. Rejon A19 survey and will bottom out at 15,000 feet.

Located 3.5 miles SE of Ridge on a 155.38-acre lease will be No. 1 Gastar Herren in the Hilltop Resort (Bossier) formation. Gastar Exploring Texas will drill this wildcat well to a depth of 20,000 feet. This well will be in the P. Pereira A17 survey.

Limestone County

Berry Oil will spud No. 19 Rickard in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) formation 15.2 miles NW of Jewett on a 615.96-acre lease. Rickard will be in the J. L. Chavert A4 survey and will bottom out at 13,700 feet.

Marathon Oil will drill two wells in the Oletha (Travis Peak) formation and in the J. L. Chavert A4 survey.

No. 4 J. R. Thomason will be a wildcat directional well and will bottom out at 10,500 feet. Thomason will be located 9.7 miles SE of Groesbeck on a 691.5-acre lease.

No. 3 J. R Thomason will be a wildcat directional well and will bottom out at 10,500 feet. This well will be located 9.7 miles SE of Groesbeck on a 576.31-acre lease.

XTO Energy will drill No. 23 Reed “P” in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) formation 3.8 miles W of Donie on a 576.31-acre lease. Reed will be in the J. L. Chavert A4 survey and will be drilled to a depth of 13,800 feet.
