Funeral services for Mr. John Ross Crutchfield, 90, of Mexia, Texas, were held on Sunday, September 2, 2007, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Mexia. The Reverend Brad Brittain, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiated with interment following at Mexia Cemetery. Mr. Crutchfield was born on May 10, 1917, in Round Oak, Georgia to Benjamin F. and Eula Jackson Crutchfield and passed away on Friday, August 31, 2007, in Waco. He had been a resident of Mexia since 1969 and retired from the electrical repair business. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mexia. Survivors are his wife Loda Bell Crutchfield of Mexia, his sisters Margaret Libhart of Wortham and Bonnie Rickard of Mexia and a number of nieces and nephews.
