Teague Grades 2-5 Are District 14AA UIL Champions

Teague Elementary School students participated in the District 14AA Elementary UIL Academic Meet in Buffalo on Dec 6, 2011. They, along with Teague Intermediate School, brought home the first place trophy, indicating that they were the district champions in the elementary division, grades 2-5. We are very proud of these students and coaches and the hard work that went into this victory.
Students who participated and their coaches are as follows:
Storytelling - 2nd Grade - Coach April Welch: 1st - Allee Fortson, 2nd - Kennedee Stroade, Jarret Bodine and Madyson Hensel.
Creative Writing - 2nd Grade - Coach Hillary Chandler: 1st - Caleb Gauntt, 3rd - Paige Browne, 5th - Caleb Miller and Taylor Nichols.
Storytelling - 3rd Grade - Coach Crista Payne: 3rd - Tori Skinner, 4th - Emily McClellan, 6th - Caleb Clemmons and Ethan Hullum.
Spelling - 3rd Grade - Coach Andee Turner: Team - 1st Place; 1st - Benjamin Havens, 2nd - Madison Bragg, Mallory Steen, and Harley Gomez.
Music Memory - 3rd Grade - Coach Joclyn Ewers: Team - 1st Place; 1st - Evie-Jean Taylor, 2nd - Kall Collins, 3rd - Madelyn Tharp, 5th (tie) - Jesus Aguilera, Ionica Love and Kendal Turner.
Ready Writing - 3rd Grade - Coach Jan Perales: 2nd Place - Lilah Craig, 3rd Place - Griffin Prince 5th Place - Carson Sifford and Taylor Howard.
