ROBERT EARL MEDLOCK, SR.
The Angelic Hosts came for Mr. Robert Earl Medlock, Sr., 67, on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Mexia LTC in Mexia, Texas surrounded by loving family and devoted friends.
A viewing was held Saturday, December 21, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 PM at Moore?s Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe Street, Teague, Texas.
Funeral Services were Sunday, December 22, 2013, 2:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 203 N. Canton, Mexia, Texas, with Elder Tas Betts officiating. Interment followed at Sandy Creek Cemetery in Coolidge, Texas.
Mr. Robert Earl Medlock, Sr. was born in Coolidge, Texas on November 19, 1946, to the parentage of Mr. George Medlock and Mrs. Verlene Gee Medlock. Mr. Medlock grew up in Coolidge, Texas and attended schools in Midlothian, Texas. He attended Taylor Chapel COGIC in Wortham, Texas and Salvation Lighthouse COGIC in Mexia, Texas and he professed his belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Robert was employed by the City of Mexia, owned his own Mechanic Shop and his last employer was the Mexia State Supported Living Center.
He loved fishing, playing dominoes, racing cars, and repairing motors. Robert will be remembered most for his ability to build the best and fastest cars. He is loved and will be missed greatly.
Mr. Medlock was preceded in death by: his Parents; his Father-In-Law: Mr. L.C. Milus; his Sister: Maudie Williams; his Granddaughter: Miss Veronica Milus; and a Special Aunt: Earlene Jones.
Those left to cherish his memory most are: his Wife: Gloria Medlock; his 23 Children; his Brothers: Charles Medlock and wife Gladys, Houston, TX; George Medlock and wife Rebecca, Dallas, TX; Hubert Medlock and wife Mary, Arlington, TX; Howard Medlock and wife Lisa, Groesbeck, TX; and Johnny Medlock and wife Elvie, Arlington, TX; his Sisters: Barbara Jean Eggins, Mexia, TX; Marilyn Reed and husband Craig; and Georgia Jackson and husband Dwayne; Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
