Help In Solving Armed Robbery In Dew Sought

The Freestone County Sheriff?s Department is seeking help from the public in locating a masked man who committed an armed robbery at the Jet Truck Stop in Dew on Monday night, October 14, 2013.

The masked robber entered through the front door and immediately went around the counter and held the clerk at gun point while tossing a plastic bag at him and ordering the clerk to put the money in the bag from both cash drawers.

The clerk followed the man?s orders and the robber took the money and ran out the front door west toward IH 45 disappearing into the dark. Freestone County Deputy Larry Jones responded to the call.

The man was described as a white male wearing a black ski mask, orange gloves, and black clothing. Sheriff?s Office Investigator Jeremy Shipley was notified and is now heading the ongoing investigation of the robbery. If anyone has any information concerning this robbery please contact Investigator Jeremy Shipley at the Freestone County Sheriff?s Office.
