For the first time the Blue team beat the winning streak of the Red team in the 5th Annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes? Victory Bowl held in Waco at Floyd Casey Stadium last Saturday, with a score of 35-21.

Representing the Blue team from Teague were Daryl Brooks, Kelton Henderson (subbing for Trae Bell), cheerleader Haley Guerrero and Coach Daniel Johnson. The four were there for five days and participated not only in practices for Saturday night?s game, but also in fellowship in various activities from a tour of the Dr. Pepper Museum, a night of bowling, a pancake eating contest, a pep rally, and many others with the emphasis on being relentless for Christ.

When asked of our three Teague athletes what they thought of their experience, all replied that they ?had a great time.? Coach Daniel Johnson said, ?I was complemented by the FCA faculty throughout?the week regarding our [Teague?s] athletes? discipline and personality. I received excellent?feedback from the cheerleading sponsor about Haley?s willingness to go above and beyond for helping others. I heard from coaches that our?[Teague?s] athletes were respectful and most definitely stood out amongst the others. I feel like all three represented Teague well, and I am proud of all of them. I was just grateful to be a part of it.?

There were many Teague community members there who were able to share in this memorable night.
