Parade To Kick-Off County Fair, June 10

WELCOME! It?s time once again for the Freestone County Fair and Rodeo 2013. The parade will kick off six fun filled days of events and will be held in historic downtown Fairfield, Texas. Come and help celebrate this year?s theme ?Our Own Brand of Entertainment? with over 100 entries, many old pros and a large group of newcomers?. it?s sure to be entertaining!

There will be prize money for the top spot, the ?Spirit of Freestone Award,? $50 and the Traveling Trophy (The County business or organization that best represents use of the theme); ?Most Creative,? $50; ?Most Entertaining,? $50; ?Most Beautiful,? $50; and special prizes for the Best Dressed Cowgirl and Cowboy. All entries will be announced along the parade route.

The parade will be on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. sharp. All registration must be in by June 8th. All entries must be in line by 6:00 to be judged. All entries including Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl will be judged in their parade positions.

Entry forms can be picked up at Texas 99 Radio, The Fairfield Recorder, Freestone County Times, The Teague Chronicle, and Berry Chrysler Dodge. All forms are to be returned to Texas 99 Radio station or Berry Chrysler Dodge.

After the parade the Go Texas Men?s Washers and the Stick Bull & Stick Barrel Racing will take place. The ?kick-off? dance will start at 8:00 p.m. You can also enjoy the Carnival Midway that will be open at 6:00 p.m.

Miss Freestone County Queen Coronation is held on Tuesday, June 11th, at Fairfield High School Auditorium. Miss Freestone County and Miss Teen Freestone will be crowned. A children?s pageant , Freestone County Fair Little Princess, will also be held in conjunction with the Miss Freestone County pageant. The pageant begins at 7:00 p.m.

Come and see the finest animals in Freestone County as they are judged and auctioned to the highest bidder. Entertainment is each night with great bands and dancing as well as gospel music.

The CPRA, CRA Rodeo features the best stock and cowboys and girls in Texas. The Rodeo is held on Friday and Saturday, June 14th and 15th at 8:00 p.m. The Youth Rodeo is held on Wednesday, June 12th, at 7:00 p.m.
