Teague City Council Members Sworn-In
Newly elected Teague City Council members Ron Rasbeary, Place 2; Chris Nickleberry, Place 4; and Marilyn Michaud, Place 5 were sworn-in to office by interim City Administrator Judy Keally, following the canvassing of election returns during city council action on Tuesday evening, May 21st.
Council members approved a motion to keep the 2013 Dodge pick-up leased for former City Administrator Vince DiMaggio. The city will use the truck thru the end of the budget year, then transfer it to the Teague Police department to be use as a patrol vehicle and placed in their budget for fiscal year 2014. Pay-off on the truck if purchased by June 15th was $25,229. After the two years remaining on the lease is up, the truck can be purchased for $17,583.
Council members approved paying three past due bills to APAC for asphalt for the street department in the amount of $13,530.35 and approved changes to Ordinance #09-27-2011 concerning position classifications.
Resignations from Accounts Payable Clerk Kerrie Bell and Finance Manager Mindy McGlone were accepted and council members approved employment of Teri Kuehl and the full time accounts payable clerk.
Interim City Administrator Judy Keally reported former City Administrator DiMaggio repaid the EDC money in the net amount of $2,819 and the bonus money to the City of Teague in the net of $27,734.31.
