Early Voting In City, School Board Elections

Runs Through Tuesday, May 7

Early voting to fill two City Council positions and one seat on the Teague ISD Board of Trustees got underway Monday, April 29th and runs through Tuesday, May 7th. Of the five positions to be filled by voters in the May 11th elections, one seat in each election is uncontested.

In the City Council election, Place 2 incumbent Marie Hertenberger will face challenger Ron Rasbeary; Place 4 incumbent Chris Nickleberry is unopposed and seeking Place 5 are Marilyn Michaud, Willie Keener, Jr., and Monte Doty. Place 5 incumbent Terry Gibson is not seeking re-election to the City Council but will face TISD incumbent Brian Bowers for Place 2 on the TISD Board of Trustees.

The only other seat to be filled this year on the TISD Board of Trustees is held by Place 4 incumbent Jeff Gonzales, who is unopposed in his bid for re-election.

Early ballots will be cast at Teague City Hall, 104 S. 4th Avenue in both elections. In the city election, early ballots will be cast from 7 a.m. ? 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd and from 8 a.m. ? 5 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd; Monday, May 6th; and Tuesday, May 7th.

Early ballots in the TISD election can be cast from 8 a.m. ? 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd; Friday, May 3rd; and Monday, May 6th. On Tuesday, May 7th, TISD voters can cast early ballots from 7 a.m. ? 7 p.m.

On Election Day, Saturday, May 11th, all City of Teague ballots will be cast at City Hall from 7 a.m. ? 7 p.m. In the TISD election, May 11th ballots will be cast from 7 a.m. ? 7 p.m. at City Hall by voters in Precincts 2, 5 and 9; at the Cotton Gin Voting Building by voters in Precincts 4, 6, and 7; at the Freestone Community Center by voters in Precinct 10; and at the Donie Community Center by voters in Precinct 3.
