Armed Robber Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison

Following a guilty plea in June of 2012 for the aggravated robberies of Daniels Convenience Store in Teague on January 20, 2011 and again on April 19th, 2011, Rodrick Rashad Johnson was sentenced to two 15-year prison terms by 87th District Judge Pat Simmons on March 28, 2013.

The two prison terms will run concurrent in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as part of a plea bargain agreement. Johnson was represented by attorney Jeff Sanders.

In both robberies, Johnson admitted to threatening imminent bodily injury to the store clerk by exhibiting a deadly weapon. Evidence taken from videos in the store led to Johnson?s arrest.
