Brookshire Bros. Remodels Store
And Extends Hours
RECENT IMPROVEMENTS AT BROOKSHIRE BROTHERS Grocery Store include a new office, new registers, larger produce section and other items that has the store looking brand new. Pictured in front of the new office are (l to r) Store Manager Joe Baker, Cashier Allyse Sleziak, and Assistant Manager Derrick Lewis. With the change to daylight savings time, the store is now open until 9 p.m. seven days a week.
If you haven?t been in Brookshire Brothers grocery store in Teague before, you just might think that it?s a brand new store.
The 25,000 foot grocery store has a new look to it and customers really like it. Store Manager Joe Baker agrees that it looks like a new store and he says there are a few more things they plan to do to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
Walking in the front doors, one immediately notices the new office for Brookshire employees and three new registers checking out customers. The front of the building has been opened up with more space, which customers really seem to enjoy. Before the store was remodeled, it was a tight fit just to get your shopping cart past the front office and around the corner to begin your shopping.
As customers enter the store to begin their shopping, the first thing they notice is a new produce section, colorful fruits line the front wall and scream ?fresh? as you walk by them. Around the corner is where Brookshire added their beer and wine sales ? some 30-foot of beer refrigeration and 24 feet of selected wine.
Baker says that side caps on the end of the isles are being installed to allow new items to be added that they didn?t carry before. He notes that the Hispanic food section selection has been increased and a number of new Nabisco items that the store didn?t carry before.
As you walk down the aisles, one notices that the shelves are stocked to the brim all nice and neat.
Another convenience added for customers, which began this week is extended shopping hours. Brookshire is now open from 7 a.m. ? 9 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and from 8 a.m. ? 9 p.m. on Sunday.
The store also had their computer system upgraded for employees. There are new tobacco racks; new shopping carts, and a new Hallmark Card rack will be in place in the near future.
Baker even pointed out a suggestion box is in place next to the entrance. He adds to check out their website at BrookshireBrothers.com.
If you?ve been buying your groceries some place else, you just might want to give them a try. All 26 employees are walking tall, looking good and ready to help with what ever you need.
