Hundreds of former Teague High School students and faculty members are expected to begin arriving in town this week for a full weekend of activities this Friday and Saturday as the 2012 biennial Teague High School Homecoming gets underway. Homecoming in Teague, which is held every two years, brings friends, classmates, and family members back together to talk about the good old days they spent while attending Teague High School.

The former classmates are invited to numerous activities around town where they can spend time reminiscing about the days when they ruled the hallways at their Alma Mater.

The first activity of Homecoming is the bonfire, which will be held behind Teague High School Wednesday evening, October 3rd, beginning at 8:00 p.m.

The 7th Biennial Alumni Golf Tournament will tee-off at 9:30 a.m. at Big Cedar Country Club on Friday morning, October 4th. The Alumni Golf Tournament is open to THS ex-students, faculty and spouses only. Cost is only $75.00 per person with proceeds going to fund the EXES? Scholarship Fund.

Alumni registration will be held on Friday morning, 10:00 a.m. ? 5:00 p.m. at the main entrance of the high school. It?s going to get loud in the high school gym at 1:30 p.m. Friday as ex-students and the present student body raise the rafters in the gym to build enthusiasm for Friday night?s big football game against Waco Reicher at 7:30 p.m. A reception in the high school cafeteria will follow the game from 8:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

During half-time festivities of the game, the 2012 Homecoming Queen and Duchess will be crowned. There are two divisions in the parade: Ex-Students Division (Grand Prize, Most Elaborate, Most Original, Most Beautiful and Most Humorous) and the Student Division (First Prize, Most Detailed, Most Original and Funniest).

After everyone gets a chance to rest from the fun they had at the parade, then it?s off to the Homecoming Banquet and Business Meeting in the high school cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. for a meal catered by Sam?s Restaurant. A full slate of activities and awards are scheduled for the Business Meeting. Following the Banquet and Business Meeting there will be a ?Mix and Mingle? at Big Cedar Country Club until 12:00 mmidnight.
