GENERAL MANAGER OLIVER JUARZ (front) and the friendly staff of the Teague Pizza Hut are anxious to serve the folks of Teague great pizza as well as other delectable items. The new Pizza Hut is located in the Brookshire’s center next to Dollar General. They are open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week. Dine in or carry out. Call for questions or orders at 254-739-3971.
Pizza Hut was founded in 1958 by brothers Dan and Frank Carney in Wichita, Kansas. They opened a ?Pizza Parlor? with $600 dollars they got from their mother. They chose the name Pizza Hut because the sign they purchased only had enough space for nine letters. As they say, ?The rest is history.? Now, Teague has its own Pizza Hut. In fact when you walk in the first thing you see is a sign that says, ?Your Teague Pizza Hut.? There is also a big picture of the Teague City limit sign and a Lion jersey hanging on the wall. That proves it?..it?s ours!
General Manager, Oliver Juarez, says, ?I came from a small town so I love being in this area.? He has been the manager of the Fairfield Pizza Hut for 3 ? years and noticed that they got a lot of business from Teague. Carter Enterprises, who owns the franchise for the Fairfield Pizza Hut and the new Teague Pizza Hut decided it would be beneficial to open one here. Carter Enterprises is based in Madisonville and also owns Taco Bell, Churches, Subway & Texas Burger and their most recent acquisition Spoons Yogurt in Huntsville.
Mr. Juarez said, ?Carter Enterprises works one-on-one with their employees and with the community. Customer service is their first priority. The Teague Pizza Hut employs fifteen people and all except one person lives in Teague. ?We will work with employees on many of their needs and concerns and still provide customers with employees who are professional and courteous,? said Juarez.
The Teague Pizza Hut has a very diversified and well-priced menu. The everyday low price menu has one topping pizzas in medium for $8, large for $10 with $1 per extra topping or $3 more for Specialty, Special Recipe or Super Premium. They offer crusts that are Hand Tossed, Thin & Crispy, Pan, and Stuffed Crust. You can also get Stuffed Pizza Rollers.
The Pizza Hut Pasta is amazing with Meaty Marinara and Chicken Alfredo and comes in two sizes. You like wings? They have traditional, Bone-in, and Bone-out in a variety of flavors. If you like fries with your wings, you can get great wedge fries or Bread Sticks & Cheese Sticks with dips. Top off your meal with a little something sweet! How about Hershey?s Chocolate Dunkers, Cinnamon Sticks with yummy icing, or Apple Pies. With all the food there is bound to be something to please everyone!
Oliver Juarez is from Madisonville but says he is looking forward to living here. He has three children and his wife, Jessica, who stays home and is very busy taking care of their family. Oliver said, ?We want the community to know that we are here for them. We want to serve events at churches, school events, organizations, special events, parties and get-togethers. I will work with people holding events and can even have discounts at times,? said Juarez.
Mr. Juarez wanted to say, ?Thank you for the support that you have given us already. We look forward to establishing a bond with the Teague community and plan to be here for a very long time.
