TISD attendance increases to 1,258
The second week of school this year brought a total of 1258 students to the Teague Independent School District. It is an increase of 19 students from the 1239 students attending in the second week in 2011. A total of 1207 students attended the first day of the 2012 ? 2013 school year on Monday, August 27th. On the first day of school last year the student count was 1190, 17 students less than this year.
On the first day of school Teague High School had a slight drop in enrollment with 403 students compared to last year?s 412. The second week of school this year THS had 322 students attending and the second week in 2011 there were 328 students attending, a small drop of six students.
Teague Junior High School had an increase in students by 31 with first day numbers at 325 compared to last year with 294. Second week attendance this year was 327, a significant jump of 30 students from the second week in 2011 of 297.
Teague Intermediate School stayed exactly the same both years on the first day with 190 students, however, in the second week of 2012 they were down by one student with a total of 191 to the second week in 2011 at 192 students.
Teague Elementary had a drop in enrollment on the first day of 9 students with 412 last year and 403 the first day of school this year. In the second week of school the total this year was 418 down four students from the second week of school in 2011.
TISD is looking forward to the 2012-2013 being another great school year.
