Mexia woman loses life in wreck at county-line
An automobile accident took the life of Sebrina Lynn Brewer, 35, of Mexia last Saturday, September 8th. The accident, involving two vehicles happened at the intersection of FCR 971 and FCR 930 in Freestone County close to the Limestone County line at approximately 11:20 a.m.
According to Department of Public Safety, the 2006 Cadillac CTS Sedan was southbound on FCR 971 and failed to stop at a stop sign. The Cadillac was broadsided on the driver?s side by a Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV traveling eastbound on FCR 930.
Brewer?s two children, ages 11 and 12, were passengers in the vehicle. Her son was treated and released form Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia and her daughter was air lifted to Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
Ashley Lerma, 25, the other driver, also of Mexia, was treated and released at Parkview Regional Hospital. There were five children with her in the Jeep. Three of them were treated and released and two children were moved to another hospital.
No information was available on any of the children.
