Joe Lynn Allison

Funeral services for Mr. Joe Allison, 66, will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at 2:00p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Scott Matthews will officiate. A private interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation was held on Tuesday with the family present from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Allison passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012, at his residence in Teague. He was born in Houston on November 1, 1945. He attended school in Teague and graduated from Teague High School with the Class of 1964.

Mr. Allison worked for the Railroad in Teague. He married Ruth Lindsey on February 29, 1996 and shared over sixteen years together.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Allison of Teague; one son, Troy Allison and Anne , and Ryker & Denham Hunt, all of Teague; daughter, Hayley Allison; step-son, Asa Hanrahan & wife Heather of Houston; granddaughter, Cicilia King, daughter of Josh & Kelley King of Paducah, KY; one sister, Donna Williams of Rockwall; one brother, Bill Allison & wife Sue of Teague; nieces & nephews, Jocey McCoy & husband Jeff, Lindsey Williams & wife Pamela, Todd Allison, Rachel Anderson & husband Doug, and Matt Allison; numerous great-nieces & nephews; other relatives and friends.

Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his parents, William (Don) and LaRue Allison.

Lonnie Ross Calhoun

Lonnie Ross Calhoun, 79, of Pasadena, TX went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 31, 2012. He was born on March 4, 1933 in Teague, TX and He was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie & Beryl Calhoun, sisters Maxine Calhoun, Dorothy Papke, Marion Alford, twin sister Bonnie Pfannstiel, and Son David Ross Calhoun. He is survived by his wife Shirley Calhoun, daughter and son in law Terri & Wayne Heintschel and Grandson Kyle Heintschel, brothers in law and sisters in law Gynne & Harold Massey, Don & Lorraine Thornton, and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired in 1997 from Parsons Engineering. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church Pasadena. Visitation will be held on September 4, 2012 from 2-3PM at Asbury United Methodist Church Pasadena followed by services at 3PM. interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery Teague, TX in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Asbury United Methodist Church 5354 Space Center Blvd Pasadena, TX 77505 (281) 484-4814.

The Angelic Hosts came for "T.T." on Sunday afternoon, August 26, 2012 one-half mile south of FM 641 in Richland, Texas.? Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Mexia High School Auditorium with Rev. Cleo High officiating.? Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, West Hwy 84, Mexia, Texas.


T'Aveon was the son of Tony Johnson of Oakdale, Louisiana and Cammesha Strain and Cedric of Mexia, Texas. ? He was a student at McBay Elementary School, Mexia where he excelled in academic and extra-circlar activities.? "T. T." had given his life to Christ at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Mexia and his sincere devotion to his church activites prompted many to think that one day, "T.T." may have become a preacher.


T'Aveon enagaged in a number of sports and was a member of : The Mexia 'Lil Dribblers Basketball Teams; The Groesbeck Bantams Football Team and the Mexia Youth Baseball League.? "T.T." will be remembered most for his ability to entertain people, for being a "Jordan" brand fanatic, his love of music, his love of family and friends, and his favorite food, watermelon.

T'Aveon is survived by:? His father:? Tony Johnson of Oakdale, Louisiana; his mother:? Cammesha Strain and Cedric of Mexia; 3 brothers:? Jokel, Shamaria and Draeshaun, all of Mexia; 3 sisters:? J'Myia and Alaysia of Mexia and Cocresha of Buffalo, Tx; Maternal Grandparents:? Dorothy Canady of Mexia and Randell Forge of Houston; Paternal Grandfather:? Castiderra Calhoun and Regina of Waco; Great-Grandparents:? Willie Pearl Strain and Freddie White all of Mexia; Special Aunt:? Kristal (Poodie) Strain of Fairfield, TX; a host of uncles and aunts; a very best friend:? Chris Bradley and "T"s dog, Diamod.? The family repass will be held at the Mexia High School Cafeteria and the menu will include "T.T"'s favorite foods, baked chicken and rice and watermelon.

Billy Ray Suttle

Memorial services for Mr. Billy Ray Suttle, 72, were held on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 11:00a.m. at the chapel at Union Cemetery near Freestone. Tom Suttle officiated.

Mr. Suttle passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer, at the Palestine Regional Hospital in Palestine, TX.

He was born on September 8, 1939, in Freestone, TX. to Lois & Frank Suttle.

Mr. Suttle was preceded in death by his parents, a very special uncle, W.D. Suttle, and one sister, Frankie.

He is survived by one brother, Tom Suttle & wife Wanda of Pasadena; two sisters, Lou Wilson & husband Joe of Teague, and Nell Huffman & husband Harvey of Pasadena; eight nieces & nephews; twelve great nieces & nephews; two great-great-nieces; other relatives and friends, along with cherished friends, Debbie Nesbitt & Natalie Nesbitt of Fairfield.
