Two Arrested In CEFCO Parking Lot With Firearm And Quantity Of Drugs
Freestone County Deputies in conjunction with members of Teague PD and Mexia PD made two Felony narcotics arrests on August 30th in Teague on the CEFCO parking lot at approximately 12:30AM. According to Sheriff Ralph Billings, FCSO Deputies were working on responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in another part of the County when Teague Officers spotted a vehicle matching that description. Deputies House and McGowan arrived quickly and a Browning pistol was discovered and removed from the vehicle.
A K-9 unit out of Mexia was summoned and the dog alerted on the vehicle, according to Sheriff Billings, who added a search revealed Methamphetamine in the vehicle console and a hidden box was found under the vehicle which contained 19 grams of Methamphetamine, 55 units of suspected LSD, and over 40 suspected Xanax pills.
Arrested and charged with Manufacture/Deliver of a Controlled Substance, 4 - 200 grams; and Manufacture/Deliver of a Controlled Substance, 20 - 80 units, were Terry Ryan Reed, age 35, and Brittney Diane Burleson, age 25, both of Mexia.
Officers assisting with the investigation and arrest were Sheriff?s Deputies Robert Willis, Cory House, and Richard McGowan; Teague PD Officers Mike Noll and Travis Martin; and of Mexia PD Officer Jason Thatp and K-9 Officer ?Rocky?.
