Linda Oberle and husband, Kennan
Hi. I'm Linda Oberle. I began working in the newspaper industry as salesperson and advertising compositionist for The Madisonville Meteor, June 1986, and later subcontracted composition/page layout work for The Bryan Eagle. I moved to Teague on March 15, 1999, and started working at The Chronicle the very same day. Not all the ads in the paper are built by me; a number of them are provided by other newspapers. The Chronicle Advertising Manager, Paula Swinburn, helps by building some ads when my workload is heavy, as well.
Other responsibilities: process photos (touch-ups, image manipulation, etc.), design print job layouts, and help resolve minor technical issues that disrupt the office. Also, I designed this website and maintain the content. It's a new application that will have a few more...
